Jess Reid of ASJ Recruit has been featured in the online press of RICS, the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
In her position as the MD of a leading property and construction recruitment business (launched and supported by SSG), Jess said this about the use of technology within her sector:
“Proptech is about making better use of your time as a professional. The use of iPads, smart devices, and similar systems are all freeing up valuable time for residential and other surveyors. Instead of writing notes and then spending hours typing them up, more time can be spent analysing. Tools can also provide a clear map of the data surveyors must input.
“Another transformative change is the way technology and automated systems are booking in surveyors’ diaries. You have to use your tools smartly, however. Blindly punching in data can cause more complications if the system doesn’t understand the logistics of what it’s asking a surveyor to do. Or if they fail to take into account a surveyor’s personal life outside of work.
“The use of drones is a fantastic advancement. They reduce the time spent at height, which is a huge health and safety plus. They also allow for a greater view of areas that would be otherwise extremely tricky to accurately record.”

The whole SSG team would like to congratulate Jess and ASJ Recruit for all of their fantastic work, and their rapid ascension to one of the market-leading experts in construction and property recruitment. We’re all proud to be supporting you as you go from success to success, and can’t wait to see what the future holds.
